This villa gets its name from the Seagrape tree (Coccoloba uvifera) which is a sprawling evergreen shrub or small tree with large round leathery leaves. The leaves have a primary vein that is red in color extending from the base. During its fruit bearing season - late summer - it bears small green fruit which grow in clusters similar to grapes and contain a large pit. The grapes gradually ripen to a purple color and are tangy and sweet when eaten...but be sure not to eat the pit.

This two storey 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa sleeps up to 8 persons and has enough space to accommodate both family and friends. The screened-in sleeper porch is perfect for relaxing on those sultry island nights. Inside, the cathedral ceilings and wide open floor plan give a feeling of airiness and casual elegance as the living area flows to a dining area and large eat-in custom kitchen. The living area, done in shades of blue and tan with dark colored rattan furniture and accents along with cool white walls invites you to relax after a long day of exploring the island. The large windows and sliding glass doors let in lots of natural light and soothing breezes. The custom kitchen boasts warm granite countertops and stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, wall mounted oven, microwave and gas range with hood set in the center island. Toaster and coffee maker are also provided.

Down the hall is an efficient laundry area with washer and dryer and the first of two bathrooms with granite countertops and stainless steel fixtures. Beyond that are the two bedrooms located on this lower level. The first has one twin bed - great for children and the second has a full bed with sliding door leading to the screened-in porch.

A custom made cherry stained wooden staircase leads to a sitting area on the second floor. The architectural detail here is stunning - from the framed decorative moldings to the custom triangle shaped window with views of the ocean beyond. The sitting area with two chaise lounges and end table is the ideal place to curl up with a good book. Off the sitting area to the right is the final bedroom with en-suite bath and cedar lined closet.
